ABOUT US

About us

The Learig Orchestra has long been one of the most popular amateur orchestras in North East Scotland. We pride ourselves on our friendliness and welcome players of all instruments, at all standards. In a typical year we give three concerts, all supporting charities. Recent concerts have included works as diverse as the symphonies and overtures of the great classical masters to the sound tracks from popular films and arrangements of comic operas or popular dance music.

Learig is fully committed to Aberdeen City Council's Diversity and Equity Policy.

We are aware that many people learn on a borrowed instrument, but are unable to carry on playing after they leave school. We have a number of loan instruments, so contact us; we may be able to help out.

Location

We meet at Rosemount Community Centre in Aberdeen. There is a limited amount of barrier-controlled parking behind the building off Belgrave Terrace.
